What should I do if I have a reaction (side effect) to any of Sunberry products?
- Discontinue use of the product immediately. Several reasons may contribute to your skin’s negative reaction to certain ingredients. We only use tested ingredients that are commonly used in global international and African cosmetic products.
Are Sunberry products safe to use?
- Yes, all product batches are pH tested and quality controlled before despatch.
Does Sunberry use Parabens in its products?
- Our SRSkin and Oshanea range do not contain paraben preservatives.
- Our Sunberry bulk bases contain safe and internationally approved paraben preservatives. According to the FDA:
Parabens are a family of related chemicals that are commonly used as preservatives in cosmetic products. Preservatives may be used in cosmetics to prevent the growth of harmful bacteria and mold, in order to protect both the products and consumers.
The parabens used most commonly in cosmetics are methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, and ethylparaben.
FDA scientists continue to review published studies on the safety of parabens. At this time, we do not have information showing that parabens as they are used in cosmetics have an effect on human health.
Are there safety concerns related to the use of parabens in cosmetics?
- U.S. FOOD & DRUGS (FDA) EXPLANATION: Parabens are preservatives that prevent the growth of potentially harmful bacteria that could live in some cosmetics products. Safety questions about the use of parabens in cosmetics center around parabens’ potential to act like estrogen, a hormone that can be associated with the development of breast cancer. Studies have shown, however, that parabens have significantly less estrogenic activity than the body’s naturally occurring estrogen. Parabens have not been shown to be harmful as used in cosmetics, where they are present only in very small amounts.
Can I order a sample of Sunberry products?
- The only samples available for order are the Sunberry Bulk product bases. Sunberry charges N$50.00 per 100ml sample. Please contact us to arrange a sample order.
Can you share your ingredients of product bases?
- Yes, we can. Please send us an email requesting to receive the ingredients list of the product bases. Please note that our formulations are confidential.
Can I add several of my own ingredients to the Sunberry Bulk base products?
- Yes, you may, however, Sunberry will not be held responsible if your product pH changes drastically or if the product starts to ”separate”, oxidation, becoming unstable. We have recommendations on the quantity of essential oil, fragrances, and colour that can be used that maintains the tested bases.
Does Sunberry develop my own custom formula of products?
- No, Sunberry do not offer such services. However, please contact Minori Skinfield, as they develop and create cosmetic formulas www.minoriskinfield.com
Can Sunberry lab test my product for its Shelf-Life?
- No, Sunberry does not offer such services. However, please contact Kiyomisandz, as they offer Stability Testing (Shelf-Life Testing) www.kiyomisandz.com
Does Sunberry supply cosmetic packaging and label printing services?
- Unfortunately, we do not supply these.

- Yes, you may. Please ensure you have booked an appointment for consultations. Alternatively, we can schedule an online meeting or we can chat over a phone call.
Are all Sunberry products really made in Namibia?
- Yes, all our products are proudly manufactured in Windhoek, Namibia, except for our premium pure essential oils and most of the raw carrier oils, these are imported and Sunberry re-packages for bulk supply to our customers.
